Can-Tini: Retro-Chic Espresso Martini Branding
Can-Tini, a growing ready-to-drink cocktail brand specializing in Espresso Martinis, embarked on a creative mission to capture the essence of enjoying this iconic cocktail in a stylish bar and translate it into a canned experience. Inspired by the combination of Wes Anderson's whimsy and the elegant charm of the 1960s James Bond aesthetic, we undertook a comprehensive branding and design effort.
Extensive research led Saint-Urbain to the archives of Italian magazines from the late 1960s and early 1970s, uncovering invaluable insights into the design language of the era and the effortless coolness of vintage drinking culture. This deep dive resulted in a custom script logo, meticulously crafted to embody the playful sophistication of Can-Tini. The carefully chosen color palette, typographic system and layout style were meticulously crafted, drawing inspiration from the era but firmly rooted in a modern, distinct context.
The resulting logo became the focal point adorning the cans and packaging, emanating a retro-charismatic Can-Tini style. Complementing the brand's aesthetic, a delightful repeating pattern was introduced, adding a touch of whimsy to the overall identity. The result is a brand that seamlessly blends the retro charm of years gone by with timeless style, ready to charm a new generation of discerning foodies.
